EASY BURNT MATCH MAGIC

A simple but very effective trick that requires a bit of set up.
Secretly, before the performance take a burnt match and normal match from a box of matches.
Draw, with a black marker, the same burn-marks on the clean, ready-to-use match from the burnt match. Cover the sides as well until it is basically impossible to tell them apart from each other. You are now ready to start the trick.
Show the proper burned match with your right hand, hiding or palming the marked clean match.
Put the burnt match in your pocket and pretend to take it back out. This means that the hidden clean match is now in your hand. Say that this is the only match you have and that (showing an empty box of matches) it is burnt, posing a problem. However, saw that using your magical skills, you will be able to set the match alight. Strike it against the side of the match and will set alight!

AMAZING MAGIC

I just recently put 12 playing cards into a wine bottle to show that anything is possible. Sadly I cannot find my camera download cable so there will be a wait for videos and pictures. Enjoy the holidays!
P.S: I just discovered a card levitation trick and a sponge ball-secret. (The sponge ball secret is that the sponge-balls sticks to any part of your body if it has been smeared with moisturising cream!)

EASY MAGIC TRICK

Another easy card trick......
Firstly, secretly move the four aces on to the top of the deck. You can fake shuffle to your audience if you want, but make sure that the audience doesn't know that the aces are on top and that they remain there till this next step.
Cut, or even better, get the spectator to cut the deck into two. Make sure that you know which pile is the top half of the deck, the one with the four aces neatly stowed on top.
Then cut the deck again into four piles, making sure you take at least four cards from each of the two piles. Then you are ready for the next step.
Keeping the deck facedown, starting off from the pile furthest from the pile with the four aces, pick up the deck (still facedown) and move 3 cards to the bottom, then deal out the top card onto each of the other piles.
Then do this with the second pile, then third until you get to the fourth. Now, move three cards to the bottom of the final pile (with the aces on top, facedown) and deal out one card to each of the other piles. This means that every pile will have an Ace on top.
The final step casn be done in your choice. I often patter and say that the Royal family has had some tough times, cut-ups, breaks etc, but they will be always together. Then turn over the top card on each pile to reveal the Aces. Or, you can simply say that even with the randomness of the cuts, you will have a full suit of Aces. Then turn over the top card of each pile to reveal the Aces. This is one of my favourite tricks!

HOLIDAY MAGIC

I just went on a holiday and bought Glen Singleton's 101 Cool Magic Tricks. I also bought The Exclusive Magic Collection Set 1. I also watched Criss Angel Boxing Day special where he levitated 500 metres over a pyramid in Las Vegas with artificial lights which had a temperate of 800 degrees Celsius and could burn flesh. Keep up the good work!

GREAT MAGIC BOOK

Most of these card tricks are from a great magic book, MAGIC & SLEIGHT OF HAND by Nicholas Einhorn. I recommend this bok to any magicians as it contains many tricks spread over a nice book.

RIBBON SPREAD & TURNOVER FLOURISH

Here's how to do a cool flourish using a deck of cards.
1. Hold the cards in a left or right hand Mechanic's Grip and spread out the cards slowy across the table.
2. Once you're done, flick your thumb or first 3 fingers across the deck so that they magically flip over.
3. After a while, you will be able to do it faster. Experimentation will make this clear.

AMAZING CARD PREDICTION

Amazing Prediction

A spectator is asked to shuffle the cards, then remove any twelve from the pack and to further shuffle these twelve. Whilst this is being done the magician writes a prediction on a piece of paper he places face down on the table. The spectator now takes any four cards from his selected twelve and lays them in a row face up on the table, the remaining eight cards are put with the rest of the pack. This is now taken up, and from it cards are dealt onto each of the face-up cards so as to bring its value to ten. For instance, if a four then six cards are to be dealt on top of it. All picture cards, however, are valued at ten so no cards are put on these. This having been done, the total value of the four cards is ascertained. For example, supposing the four face-up cards happen to be the Three of Hearts, the Seven of Clubs the Jack of Spades and the Four of Diamonds, their total value would be twenty-four. The card which lies at that number is now counted down to in the pack that remains. When it is turned over, amazingly matches the original prediction. This self-working trick requires no skill and can be done with a borrowed pack as long as the pack is complete.

How is it done? The spectator shuffles the pack and removes any twelve cards and whilst he shuffles these you note the bottom card of the pack remaining ; this is the prediction card. Write the name of this card on the paper and put it to one side. Tell the spectator to remove any four cards discarding the rest. Drop the bulk of the pack on top of these, this brings your prediction card ninth from the bottom. The spectator lays out his four cards and deals on each one, enough cards to make up ten. The total of the four face-up cards is obtained and this number counted down to and it will be the card you previously predicted.

VANISHING ACE TRICK

Pretty amazing.....

The Effect: The magician shows the audience three aces fanned out in his hand. The ace of diamonds is seen to be between the two black aces. The magician places the three aces into the pack and makes the ace of diamonds magically disappear.

Method: Before you do the trick, remove the ace of diamonds from the pack and hide it somewhere. Take out the ace of spades, ace of hearts and ace of clubs from the pack and lay them face down on the table. Tell the audience that you are about to make one of the aces magically disappear. As you say this, place the pack on the table and pick up the three aces arranging them into a fan which you show to the audience. The two illustrations below demonstrate how the three aces must be arranged so that the middle ace appears to be the ace of diamonds when it is really the ace of hearts.Say to your audience: "here are the three aces - the ace of clubs, diamonds and spades".Next, square up the three cards and tell the audience that firstly you will put the ace of spades near the bottom of the pack and insert it face down into the lower part of the pack allowing the audience to catch just a glimpse so that they see it really is the ace of spades. Then say; "and the next card: the ace of diamonds I will place in the centre of the pack". Do this but of course do not let the audience see this card. Then say "finally I will place the ace of clubs face down near the top of the pack" which you do.Of course by this time the trick is already done as the ace of diamonds is of course not in the pack but wherever you placed it earlier. Allow a spectator to go through the pack to verify that the ace is gone this allows you to reveal the ace of diamonds in as novel way as you wish!

FLOATING RING TRICK

Pretty amazing trick.

Make some really thick salt water. REALLY thick. soak a piece of thread in it somewhere between 45 and 60 minutes. take it out and let it dry. Now you are ready. Ask someone for a ring. Tie it to the end of the thread. Hold the string so its like a pendulum. Now take a match and light the string down by the ring. The string will burn but the salt crystals can hold up a fairly light ring. An awesome effect.

ICE TRICK

Quick, fast, easy old school magic.

Pour some water into a cup, blow on the cup and then turn it upside down where out pops some ice cubes. You need a cup or glass that you can't see through. You also need a small sponge and and some ice cubes.
Method: Prepare the cup by placing the sponge into the bottom of the cup. Then, drop a few ice cubes on top of the sponge and you're ready to go.To perform pour a small amount of water (about an inch) into the cup. The sponge will absorb the water. Blow into the cup, wave your hands over it and dump out the ice cubes. If you are using a disposible plastic cup for the trick, just throw it away at this time.Watch the look of surprise on your friends faces.

AMAZING CARD MAGIC

A cool, easy magic trick.

12 cards are placed on the bar (using any red and black cards from the deck) in the same pattern you see in the diagram below here. You tell someone to secretly pick any BLACK card. After telling them to make several secret random moves, you are able to tell them which card they have moved to.
The Magic Secret:Tell your audience member to pick any black card. Tell them to next move UP or DOWN to the nearest RED card. Next, tell them to move LEFT or RIGHT to the nearest BLACK card. Next, tell them to move DIAGONALLY To the Nearest RED card. Finally, tell them to move UP or DOWN to the nearest BLACK card. If you follow these directions carefully, your audience member will always end up on the MIDDLE CARD ON THE BOTTOM ROW.

MORE CARD MAGIC

A more advanced magic trick, which is quite easy once you get the hang of it. You will need a deck of cards.
Step 1: Riffle the deck and ask a spectator to say "Stop!"
Step 2: You can do this step two different ways. Pull out the card you riffled when they said "Stop!'. Don't look at it, but when showing it to the spectator, bend it slightly so you can see what it says (e.g Three of Spades). Or, you can hold a finger break while the spectator places their card in the deck and quickly glance at the card.
Step 3: Shuffle the deck and quicly look for their card. Hold it up and say, "Was this your card?"

COOL PICK A CARD-MAGIC TRICK

This is an easy-to-do magic trick. All you need is a deck of playing cards.
Step 1: Before you perform, quickly glance at the bottom card of the deck. This will be your signature card.
Step 2: Lay the deck out into 3 piles, remembering which pile has your signature card on the bottom.
Step 3: This step has two possible outcomes. Ask a spectator to pick the top card off any of the three piles and to lay it face down. If they pick from the deck with your signature card, all you have to do is cut the deck so that the signature card is on top of the selected card. If they pick it from another pile, simply have them put it back and pick up the pile with the signature card and place it on top of the selected card so that the signature card is directly on top of their card.
Step 4: Finally, spread out the deck and have a look for your signature card. The card next to it will be the spectator's chosen card. You will certainly have fun with this one!
